The Alpha Epsilon Omega Foundation (AEΩ Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded by the brothers of Alpha Epsilon Omega, the Armenian Fraternity, in 2007. The foundation’s mission is to provide humanitarian and educational aid to Armenia and Artsakh. In addition, the AEΩ Foundation aims to promote Armenian cultural values and the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Diaspora.
The Alpha Epsilon Omega Foundation is an initiative designed to impact Armenian communities’ lives throughout the world in health, education, economic development, and social progress. The Foundation is a public, charitable non-profit organization.
Promote and encourage conduct and ideals consistent with Alpha Epsilon Omega’s values and Armenian traditions.
Recognize academic, campus, and community achievement among our brothers in the Armenian community.
Establish career development, leadership development, and mentoring programs for brothers and the Armenian community.
Provide scholarships and grants to brothers and the Armenian community to enhance their educational and career opportunities.
Promote health and well-being in Armenia and the Diaspora.
Engage in other activities related to supporting and educating the public concerning Armenian history, language, and culture.
The AEΩ Foundation believes that financial transparency and honesty are vital to building a long-term relationship with donors based on trust. Our foundation publicly discloses every financial document such as the organization’s tax-exempt status, tax return forms, audit results, receipts and acknowledgments for donors, and more.

Alpha Epsilon Omega Foundation held a logo competition in collaboration with Base Studio (basestudio.org) located in Yerevan, Armenia. We received over 35 amazing logo design concepts and with a deliberated decision selected Shushan Avchyan as the winner of our contest. Shushan received $500 for the prize of creating our beautiful and meaningful logo.

Growing up, I understood that it is not enough to provide a beautiful design for your information, your design has to be meaningful, remarkable, and illustrated, to stuck in the user’s mind. So, I found the profession which enables me to work with illustrations that can shorten any company’s mission or message through outstanding and remarkable icons, professionally chosen color sets that transfer the right information to the users with just a glance.
The Alpha Epsilon Omega Foundation gave me a chance to show my ability to dive deeper into the logo creation process and create a logo that would describe the core values and the path that the foundation has chosen. During the logo creation process, I have made some research about foundations and their activity. I have questioned my friends as well what they think about foundations that help Armenia to grow. Surprisingly the majority of my friends think that foundations helping Armenia are trying to change the whole culture and make Armenia a very western country, by helping to grow they inject ideas that are not very Armenian.
Having the chance to create the logo of AEOF and to break the stereotypes I decided to use origami style. As you know in modern usage, the word “origami” is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. The goal is to transform a flat square sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. Modern origami practitioners generally discourage the use of cuts, glue, or markings on the paper. So AEOF encourages the changes without cutting, gluing, or destroying the original version of culture while creating something enormous and beautiful to be proud of.
